Air Pollution Concerns
- Air pollution, caused by various human activities such as industrialization, increased traffic, and energy use, not only negatively impacts human health but can also lead to severe environmental issues such as global warming, acid rain, and ozone layer depletion.
- Air pollution mainly occurs when pollutants from human activities are released into the atmosphere. These sources include combustion gases and harmful chemicals emitted by factories, power plants, and refineries; exhaust gases from vehicles such as cars, trucks, and airplanes; combustion gases from heating, cooking, and waste incineration; gases such as ammonia and methane from fertilizer use and livestock farming; and natural sources like volcanic eruptions, wildfires, and dust storms.
